Team On Pointe Racing’s Brianna Leigh Blinzler, from Moorpark, California, set a new national record in Outlaw 330 Junior Drag Racing at Sacramento Raceway.  This past weekend, while participating in the Wicked West Coast 330s’ Race #3 of their 2010 series, fifteen year old Brianna ran a 4.162 in her 2007 Half Scale Extreme Outlaw Swing Arm Junior Dragster during the second round of qualifying.  Her sixty foot time was 1.300 with a 2.862 back half.  Brianna was able to back up the new record within one percent by running a 4.203 during round one of eliminations and within two percent by running a 4.210 in round one of qualifying, a 4.206 in round two of eliminations and a 4.222 in the Final.  The previous national record of 4.188 was set by Matt Gillen on November 1, 2008 in Gleason, Tennessee.

In the Final round of competition, Brianna had to race her own back-up car, which qualified number two, piloted by fellow Team Member Jake Daniel from Olympia, Washington.  Jake runnered up to Brianna with a 4.249.
